The Producer Price Index reached to 132.2 percent (Year 1998 = 100) in fourth quarter 2006, marking a decrease by 1.6 per cent against the previous quarter.
Annual change of Producer Price Index is -0.8 percent. It was 1.9 percent one year before.
The index price of “Forestry, logging and related services activities” includes only the “Forestry of logging” activity which has signed an increase by 4.8 percent compared with third quarter of 2006.
The index price of the “Mining and quarrying” sector reached 119.8, marking an increase by 0.4 percent beside previous quarter. Here we can mention the increase prices of “Mining of coal and lignite; extraction of peat” with 0.9 percent.
The index price of “Manufacturing” sector reached 129.6 percent, signing a decrease by 0.2 percent compared with third quarter of this year. The index in “Tobacco industry” activity signed an increase by 1.3 percent, while the “Manufacturing of food products and beverages” increased by 3 percent. Here we can mention the increase prices of butter with 9.5 percent and flour with 13.8 percent.
The index price of “Manufacture of textile and textile products” activity has signed an increase by 2.3 percent compared with previous quarter. Here we can mention the increase prices of production of velvet, jeans and velvet trousers by 7.5 percent, dresses, linen skirts for women and children by 2.7 percent.
The index price of “Manufacture of pulp, paper and paper products; publishing and printing” sector has signed a decrease by 4.9 per cent.
The index price of “Manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products ’’decreased by 2.2 percent. Here we can mention the decrease prices of sewage facility by 2.5 percent and aluminium doors and windows by 7.2 percent.
In “Electricity, gas, steam and hot water supply’’ activity the index price decreased by 9 percent.
While the trimester price index changes in the other groups vary from – 3 per cent to + 3 percent.
