The German Bank for Development and Reconstruction (KfW) has signed agreements with Albania's finance ministry to lend 91 million euros for two energy projects in the Balkan country.
The projects are construction of a 400kV energy line between Tirana and Pristina and a 110kV energy line in southern Albania to improve energy use through interconnection lines, the finance ministry (www.minfin.gov.al) said in a statement.
Germany has been active in Albania since 1988 with financing of over 850 million euros, mainly in energy.
