Advanced Construction Group buys Albanian Airlines for undisclosed sum.
Advanced Construction Group shpk has acquired national carrier Albanian Airlines from Kuwait-based Al-Kharafi & Sons Company for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition was disclosed by Albania’s competition authority, which asked the companies to provide details of the deal.
Tirana-based Albanian Airlines (www.albanianair.com) was founded in 1992 by Tyrolean Airways and tour operator Albtransport.
The operator currently serves eleven destinations in eight European countries, including three weekly flights to Brussels and London.
The airline has 3,000 annual scheduled flights, carrying more than 200,000 passengers. (Balkans.com; Albaniantimes.com)
