Pristina | 15 May 2009 | Kosovo’s Tax Administration announces that incomes from tax collection during Jan-April 2009 are €75.8 million, €14 million more than forecast.
The forecasted plan for tax collection was €61.8 million indicating that there has been an increase of 22.5 per cent.
“Comparing the incomes of this period during last year, the results are good despite the changing of tax scaling,” said a statement from Kosovo’s Tax Administration, adding that the results are quite positive considering the global financial crisis.
According to this office the factors to have influenced the income during this period are the increase in self declared taxes, better communication with tax payers and better tax and debt collection.
