Slovenia 0 - 0 Albania
Albania's luckless run in the Euro 2008 qualifiers continued in Celje as they couldn't take down an ambitious Slovenia side...
Albania came to Slovenia with high hopes for a good result after the disappointment of near-misses against the likes of Holland but, in the end, had to be happy with a point.
For Slovenia were in fact the better side early in the encounter, menacing around the edge of the area and attempting long shots, but the likes of Novakovic couldn't make the pressure pay.
Albania rallied as the game wore on but, with qualification already a forlorn hope, lacked the wherewithal to turn their newfound confidence into goals.
The stalemate does neither side much good but the visitors will be particularly upset at missing out on the three points; had the kuq e zinjtë won, they would have leapfrogged the hosts in Group G.
