Albania ranks 65th among 194 countries in a 2010 quality of life index, rising from 66th place a year earlier.
The index compiled by the International Living magazine (www1.internationalliving.com/qofl2010/) assesses cost of living, culture and leisure, the economy, the environment, freedom, safety and risk, health, infrastructure and climate.
Albania lies below Croatia (37), Bulgaria (44), Romania (53), Moldova (55) and FYR Macedonia (59), and above Bosnia and Herzegovina (66) and Turkey (72)
