U.S. supports Kosovo in establishing a functional army

At a conference event, organized by the Euro-Atlantic Club of Kosovo and its chairman, former Prime Minister Agim Ceku, the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, Christopher Dell, said that "in the 90's it was impossible to dream of the independence of the Republic of Kosovo." According to him, "now, after nearly 20 years, besides the dream of independence that has come to reality, there has been notable progress made in many areas."

Dell stated that there is still work to be done in the Republic of Kosovo; creating stability and security is a very important factor for integration into NATO. "The KSF (Kosovo Security Force) should focus on creating a powerful and functional army, and the U.S. is behind supporting them in every way," said Dell, among other things.

The Euro-Atlantic Club of Kosovo chairman Agim Ceku said that he is working with others in implementing goals to create a safe and strong Republic of Kosovo, as well as helping institutions towards NATO integration. (New Kosova Report)
