167 representatives from Albania visited Israel to discover attractive tourism spots in the State of Israel.
Tourism Ministry continues promoting the tourism to Israel in different countries around the world. After a recently signed agreement with China, Albanian delegation of politicians, public figures and press representatives came for a visit this week.
Few tourists from Albania arrived to Israel in the last years, around 200 people per year. This time, Albania will be part of the NIS 200 Million (equivalent of USD 52 Million) budget for 2008 which aims to market various tours to Israel, underlined Yitzhak Aharonovitch, Tourism Minister.
Albania is a country in Southeastern Europe with a population of approximately 4 Million people. Albania is situated on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, with Montenegro and Serbia to the north, Macedonia to the east, and Greece to the south. The country is composed of mostly with a mountainous highland region in the north, east, and south. As for the rest of its territory, western coastal lowland region contains most of the Albanian population and it is also a land for most of agricultural activity. (Israel Times)
