PARIS (AFP) — Albania coach Otto Baric was suspended Tuesday for three matches by UEFA after insulting a referee during a Euro 2008 qualifying match against Bulgaria on October 17.
The 75-year-old will not be allowed on the bench, in the tunnel or the dressing room for the Euro 2009 qualifying matches against Belarus on November 17, Romania, November 21 and for Albania's next international fixture.
Baric, who has three days to appeal, is the fourth coach involved in the Euro 2008 qualifying matches to be suspended following Ireland's Steve Staunton, France's Raymond Domenech, and Portugal's Luiz Felipe Scolari.
